Nuptials

October 3, 2011

Let me first start you off with some pictures. I cannot handle my excitement any longer. A beautiful bride, bridal party, venue, whimsical decor, and above all else LOVE!

On October 1st, 2011 Tim and Jenna became Mr. and Mrs. I can honestly say that I adored this wedding. I love this couple, and was so full of joy to be apart of their special day! I drove down with Leah and her sister Katie to get ready with the bridal party. I love the whole process of putting on makeup and getting hair done so watching Jenna and the other ladies get made up was quite fun. They all looked absolutely stunning. I’d like to think that my part in the wedding was two fold, the “shoe putter on-er” and “giggle miester”. If they said dance, I’d dance, if they said make a joke, gosh darn it I tried.

Skip forward from the hotel room to the actual site of the ceremony and reception, The Mitten Building in Redlands. Holy Shamoly, this place is amazing. I fell in love with it’s vintage ambience, brick structure, and warm and inviting feel. Not to mention the close proximity of one of my favorite coffee shops, Augie’s. I aint mad at that! Now despite the beautiful material things such as the building, the attire, amazing music choices, and Augie’s easy accessibility, it was Tim and Jenna’s love that absolutely blew me away. I may or may not have even teared up at their vows. I don’t believe I’ve ever had the privilege to hear such endearing words at a wedding ceremony. They spoke of things like putting Christ first in their marriage, taking care of one another, being selfless, being strong parents of their future children, and knowing that they were meant for one another. It’s so comforting to hear things like this in a world which tears love apart and mocks the sanctity of marriage. I sadly find myself even falling into that category, as a cynic of love. So thank you to the newly married Lopez’s for giving me yet another good example of marriage and true love. I hope for the best in your marriage, and pray for your love for one another to grow exponentially in many ways. Oh and thanks for letting this lady cut up a rug at your reception. If you get the chance please tell the other guests at the wedding sorry for my noodle like limbs

: )
